Fortnite gamers, if you thought Epic Games was taking their foot off the gas pedal for this year’s Fortnitemares, you’d be dead wrong. There’s more content and collabs for this iteration of Fortnite’s seasonal October event than you can swing a pickaxe at, including Hazbin Hotel, The Purge, Slender Man, Beetlejuice, Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights, and even the real-life rapper Yeat! Neat!
On top of all of that holiday goodness, two brand new types of Sprite just dropped for what is understood to be Fortnitemares’ final content update. Check ‘em out:
Honey Sprite
The Honey Sprite is the winner of the design-a-sprite contest from earlier this year, earning the lucky Fortnite fan the opportunity to see their original design in the game (and take home a cool $2,500). More importantly, the Honey Sprite unleashes the power of nature’s deadliest animal: Bees! Whenever you deal damage with a ranged weapon, there’s a chance for bees to spawn at that location and put your target in a fairly sticky situation.
One Wish Willow Sprite
What would you wish for if you only had one wish, like in the movie Obsession? Would you wish flippantly for love or money? Of course not. You’d be wise and wish for more Sprites.
With this Obsession collab, the One Wish Willow Sprite grants your wish and allows you to steal enemies’ equipped Sprites when eliminated. It also pushes nearby enemies away when damaged. However, also like in the movie Obsession, you don’t want to get on this Sprite’s jealous side – if you leave this little one behind, it’ll make you rue the day by marking you on the map for other players. But I don’t know why you would do that! I thought you were having a nice date!
Where to Find & Additional Variants
Both Honey Sprites and One Wish Willows can be obtained from Pumpkins, Cheat Codes, and Chests. The Honey Sprite and One Wish Willow also have five variants: Loot Hacker, Cheat Master, Gold, Bounty Hunter, and Trick or Treat.
New Quack Sprites
Yes they’re back – back in Quack. Quack Sprites make a return this year, granting a 50% exp boost to all sprites in your inventory. New variants include:
• Quack Bush Sprite
• Quack Adventure Sprite
• Quack Jonesy Sprite
• Quack Klombo Sprite
• Quack Spooky Dash Sprite
You get these guys by mastering Sprites, but make sure to do so before Fortnitemares ends on October 31.
