Delayed
Call of Duty is without a doubt one of the most iconic series within gaming, and most fans are well aware of the yearly release model they have implemented for over 20 years.
Now, a new report claims that Call of Duty 2023, is going to be delayed for the first time ever.
Call of Duty 2023 Will Be Delayed
This report comes from Bloomberg, and states bascially how Treyarch is the intended developer of 2023's COD, and will require more time to develop the game, and hence, will delay it.
This is a massive move for the franchise, considering how 2022's Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 2 will then now be asking to be the premier COD for well over two years.
VGC recieved a statement from Activision/Blizzard which doesn't really confrim nor deny these claims.
"We have an exciting slate of premium and free-to-play Call of Duty experiences for this year, next year and beyond. Reports of anything otherwise are incorrect. We look forward to sharing more details when the time is right."
We'll have to see within the coming months how this news shapes the legacy of Call of Duty for the future!
