The anticipation behind every new Valorant Act is one that players worldwide look forward too, and players are eager to find out about future updates.
Riot has shared some insight into the map rotation for the foreseeable future, and here's what we know about Pearl returning to the game.
When is Pearl Coming Back To Valorant? Answered
Riot Games has announced that during a future update, more specifically 9.08, that there's going to be some considerable map pool changes coming.
This patch release date is still unknown at the time of writing, but we can assume it will not be for at least a month or two.
Not only are they going to rework Sunset B site a bit, but they're intending on removing Lotus and Icebox from the rotation.
This makes way for the return of Split and Pearl, which the latter has not seem competitive action for quite some time.
Also in Patch 9.08, PEARL and SPLIT are returning to the competitive map pool. There will be no design updates to either map. Like you saw with HAVEN earlier this year, maps coming into rotation don’t always necessitate design changes. I want to point out that we make changes to maps that are out of rotation only if there is an opportunity to improve the player experience. Map pools are updated with the intention of changing the overall variety of the pool. A map being pulled from the pool doesn't necessarily mean it's time for a change to its design, but it's always something we consider when looking at meta/match data. With PEARL and SPLIT coming into the pool, ICEBOX and LOTUS will be rotating out of the competitive map pool.
