Modern Warfare 3 is now winding down in the yearly cycle, but this doesn't mean that fans are still not enjoying all the new content, especially with Season 5 coming.

Modern Warfare 3 Season 5 will be releasing on July 24, and in the leadup to this, they've announced a flurry of new changes coming.
We're getting some new weapons to use, and the Spear is going to be one of these. Players will be able to unlock this during some point in the mid-season update, and it will be unlocked via in-game challenges.
Fight like the ancients with a throwable Spear built for the demands of modern combat. Three Spears are provided at each spawn; they throw fast and straight, with a reticle provided to account for various distances. Thrown Spears can be retrieved from the environment and at least one should be kept for the weapon’s rapid piercing strikes in close quarters.
