There are numerous criminal careers available to players in GTA Online, but in most cases you’ll need to be a CEO or MC President to start a criminal organization and carry out those various tasks.
For example, a CEO or MC President can purchase supplementary businesses in GTA Online which open up new missions, vehicles and ultimately more ways to make money. You’ll need to be a CEO or MC President to purchase or customize Clubhouses, Bunkers, Hangars, Facilities, Nightclubs, Arcades, and Auto Shops.
However, to become a CEO or MC President in GTA Online you’ll need quite a bit of cash. Thankfully if you don’t have that much money you can always choose to register as a VIP instead. But what is the difference between a VIP or CEO in GTA Online and How much does it cost to be a VIP?

How To Become A VIP In GTA Online
To register as a VIP in GTA Online you must have $50,000 in your bank account. When you have the cash, follow these steps:
- Open the games Interaction Menu
- Scroll down and select “SecuroServ”
- Select “Register as a VIP”
- Now enter your organisation name on the menu. The name can be 15 characters long and the default is simply “an organisation”
- Hit enter to register as a VIP.
You will know when you have registered as a VIP as you will receive a message from SecuroServ which reads:
“Thank you for registering with SecuroServ as a VIP. Recruit your Protection Detail immediately to start feeling the benefits of having a troop of armed Bodyguards at your beck and call. But what now? Take your operation to the next level by getting an office on dynasty8realestate.com, of course! You’ll become a CEO with access to Special Cargo, Vehicle Cargo, Special Vehicle Work and many other benefits.”

How Long Does VIP Status Last In GTA Online
Once a player becomes a VIP, this status will last for 4 (real time) hours. Time spent in Jobs or Heists do not decrease your VIP timer.
Once your 4 hours are up, there is a 12 hour cool down period until you can register as a VIP in GTA Online again.
Why Can’t I Register As A VIP In GTA Online
There are a few reasons why you might not be able to register as a VIP in GTA Online.
The most obvious reason why you can’t register as a VIP is that you don’t have the required $50,000 in your bank account.
Alternatively, maybe the 12-hour cool-down period hasn’t elapsed and you need to wait a bit longer.
The final possibility is that your freemode session might have too many VIPs already. There can only be a maximum of 10 VIPs in a session at any time.
