Dead By Daylight Best Trickster Build (2022)

What is the best Trickster build in Dead by Daylight? Hopefully, this guide will help get to the bottom of that question as well as giving players all the information they need to help elevate their skills with the DLC killer from the All-Kill Chapter.

Further down we’ll cover off his standard perks and powers as well as the perks we would opt for when trying to assemble the best Trickster build in Dead By Daylight. Naturally, this is subjective and we’ll always attempt to keep this page updated as new chapters and major updates are released.

The Trickster Power & Perks

The Trickster killer has three unique perks that can be unlocked for other killers via the Bloodweb.

Alternatively, you can also unlock them via the games Shrine of Secrets.

We’ve detailed everything you need to know about these 3 main perks, just below.

Perk Description
Starstruck
(unlocked at level 30 in Bloodweb)
Your unmatched showmanship dazzles all. When carrying a Survivor, Starstruck activates:

  • Survivors suffer from the Exposed Status Effect while in your Terror Radius.
  • The Status Effect lingers for Several Seconds after leaving your Terror Radius.

After hooking or dropping the carried Survivor, Starstruck deactivates:

  • The Status Effect persists for Several Seconds for any Survivor inside your Terror Radius at that moment.

Starstruck has a cool-down of 60 seconds once the Survivor is no longer being carried.

Hex: Crowd Control
(unlocked at level 35 in Bloodweb)
A Hex that ensures those lesser than you are properly herded.
Survivors who perform a rushed vault through a Window prompt The Entity to block it for the next Several Seconds.
The Hex effects persist as long as the related Hex Totem is standing.
No Way Out
(unlocked at level 40 in Bloodweb)
You are not going to let just anyone into the VIP room.
For each Survivor you hook for the first time, No Way Out gains 1 Token. Once the Exit Gates have been powered, No Way Out activates:

  • When a Survivor interacts with an Exit Gate Switch, you receive a Loud Noise Notification and The Entity blocks both Exit Gate Switches for 12 seconds and an additional Several Seconds per Token in your possession, up to a combined maximum of Several Seconds.

In addition to his standard perks, The Trickster can also use his unique power called Showstopper. Here’s how it works:

“Begin a Trial with 44 Blades. The Trickster throws a barrage of Blade, reloading his supply at lockers. A Survivor’s Laceration Meter builds with each successful Blade hit, with 6 leading to the loss of a health state. The Survivor’s Laceration Meter slowly decreases if they avoid being hit with a Blade. After several successful hits, The Trickster can use Main Event to unload an infinite number of Blades at high velocity.”

What are the best perks for The Trickster?

When creating the best build for The Trickster, we would personally opt for the following perks to maximise his potential:

Bamboozle – This perk is unique to The Clown

  • Performing a vault action is 5/10/15% faster and calls upon The Entity to block that Vault location for Survivors for 8/12/16 seconds

Cruel Limits – This perk is unique to The Demogorgon

  • Each time a Generator is repaired, all Windows and Vaults within 32 metres of the completed Generator will be blocked off for all Survivors for the next 20/25/30 seconds.

Hex: Crowd Control – This perk is unique to The Trickster

  • If a Survivor does a rush action through a Window or Vault, the Entity will block it for the next 10/12/14 seconds. The effects of this perk are nulled when the Hex Totem is cleansed.

Zanshin Tactics – This perk is unique to The Oni

  • You’re able to see the Auras of Breakable Walls, Pallets and Vaults within 24/28/32 metres of you.
