Dead By Daylight Best Dredge Build (2022)

What is the best Dredge build in Dead by Daylight? Hopefully, this guide will help get to the bottom of that question as well as giving players all the information they need to help elevate their skills with the disgusting manifestation of darkness.

Further down we’ll cover the killers standard perks and powers as well as the perks we would opt for when trying to assemble the best Dredge build in Dead By Daylight. Naturally, this is subjective and we’ll always attempt to keep this page updated as new chapters and major updates are released.

The Dredge Power & Perks

The Dredge killer has three unique perks that can be unlocked for other Killers via the Bloodweb. Alternatively, you can also unlock them via the Shrine of Secrets.

We’ve detailed everything you need to know about these 3 main perks, just below.

Perk Description
Dissolution
(unlocked at level 30 in Bloodweb)
Everything turns to dust. It is as inescapable as the coming of the night.
3 seconds after injuring a Survivor by any means, Dissolution activates for 12/16/20 seconds. While Dissolution is active, if a Survivor fast vaults over a Pallet while they are inside your Terror Radius, The Entity will break the Pallet at the end of the vault, deactivating Dissolution.
Darkness Revealed
(unlocked at level 35 in Bloodweb)
In your presence, places once thought to be safe are perhaps the most dangerous.

When you search a Locker, the Auras of all Survivors within 8 metres of any Locker are revealed to you for 3/4/5 seconds.

Darkness Revealed has a cool-down of 30 seconds.

Septic Touch
(unlocked at level 40 in Bloodweb)
The Land of the Shadows subsumes all. Healing only delays the inevitable.

Whenever a Survivor performs a Healing action while they are inside your Terror Radius, that Survivor suffers from the Blindness and the Exhausted Status Effects.

These effects linger for 6/7/8 seconds after the Healing action is interrupted by any means.

In addition to the killers standard perks, The Dredge can also use the unique power called Reign of Darkness. Here’s how it works:

“Reign of Darkness shrouds the map in a pitch-black state, turning simple navigation into a matter of life and death. During this supernatural nightfall, visibility becomes severely limited, making it so that Survivors can only see what’s directly in front of them.”

What are the best perks for The Dredge?

When creating the best build for The Dredge, we would personally opt for the following perks to maximise the killers already incredibly powerful potential. It’s focussed around taking advantage of the killers ability to teleport around the map quickly and enhancing that ability by using several perks which serve to show you where survivors are at all times. If you’re efficient with using Scourge Hooks, you be constantly in the know of where to teleport next. BBQ & Chilli will help with revealing survivor locations far away. Devour Hope likewise but for survivors who are unhooked slightly closer to you. Both Scourge Hook perks will also stunt any generator progress whilst also help with revealing fellow survivor locations once they’re unhooked from Scourge Hooks. Here’s a reminder of the four perks we would opt for, and the benefits they offer.

• BBQ & Chili – This perk is unique to The Cannibal

A deep bond with The Entity unlocks potential in one’s Aura-reading ability. After hooking a Survivor, all other Survivors’ Auras are revealed to you for 4 seconds when they are farther than 40 metres from the Hook. Each time a Survivor is hooked for the first time, gain a stack-able 25 % bonus to all Bloodpoint gains, up to a maximum of several percent.

Scourge Hook: Floods of Rage – This perk is unique to The Onryo

Begin each trial with up to four Scourge Hooks. When a Survivor hooked on a Scourge Hook is rescued, the aura of all other Survivors is revealed for a brief duration.

At the start of the Trial, 4 random Hooks are changed into Scourge Hooks:
• The Auras of Scourge Hooks are revealed to you in white.

Each time a Survivor is unhooked from a Scourge Hook, the following effects apply:
• The Auras of all other Survivors are revealed for Several Seconds.

• Hex: Devour Hope – This perk is unique to The Hag

A Hex rooting its power on hope. The false hope of Survivors ignites your hunger. Each time a Survivor is rescued from a Hook when you are at least 24 metres away, Hex: Devour Hope receives 1 Token:

• 2 Tokens10 seconds after hooking a Survivor, gain a Several Percent Haste Status Effect for the next 10 seconds.
3 Tokens: Survivors suffer permanently from the Exposed Status Effect.
5 Tokens: You are granted the ability to kill all Survivors by your own hand.

The Hex effects persist as long as the related Hex Totem is standing.

• Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance – This perk is unique to The Artist

Overwhelming pain reverberates outwards. At the start of the Trial, 4 random Hooks are changed into Scourge Hooks:

  • The Auras of Scourge Hooks are revealed to you in white.

Each time a Survivor is hooked on a Scourge Hook, the following effects apply:

  • The Generator with the most Progression explodes, instantly losing Several Percent of its Progression and starting to regress.
  • Survivors repairing that Generator will scream, revealing their location.
