New World, the Amazon MMORPG, had an incredible launch back in 2021, but unfortunately, the game hasn't progressed in terms of content and popularity as many had hoped.
Now, with the developers already previously announcing they were stopping development on the game, we're going to answer what we know about the game being delisted.

New World at first was a fantastic twist on other MMOs that we've seen in the past, with coordinated team battles, resource gathering, and the ability to obtain a house were all positives for the game initially.
However, some lackluster end-game content plagued the game, and the playerbase crashed to now only 1000-2000 active players each day; a stark comparison from its all-time high of nearly 1 Million.
Now, Amazon Studios has announced in a new blog post that anyone looking to purchase New World before it's taken offline will not be able to; as it has now been delisted on Steam.
"On January 15, 2026, the title will be delisted and no longer available for purchase. Players will still be able to play New World: Aeternum on their purchased platform, and we are extending the Nighthaven season until the servers are taken offline on January 31, 2027."
