While money is going to be the primary currency in the game, Eridium is going to be another one that players will receive via quests, contracts and so on.
In Borderlands 4, Eridium is used for the following:
- Changing Your Specialization
- Moxxi's Big Encore
- This allows players to replay boss fights
- Transfer of weapon effects from one to the other
