Battlefield 6 is aiming to dethrone all other FPSs this year, and all signs are trending upwards, as the game has launched to great reception thus far.

Battlefield 6 has been off to a flying start in terms of pre-launch communication, as EA is committed to listening to players, and it shows.
During Battlefield 5, the release of Firestorm was received with a mixed reaction; but there seems to be some positive anticipation around BF6's BR.
As of now, there is no official confirmation that the Battlefield 6 Battle Royale has an official release date. However, there have been some signs that point towards their Season 1 launch on October 28th as to when this mode could be released.
